WEF host accidentally let slip why Elon Musk wasn’t invited to this year’s summit

This week the World Economic Forum met in Davos, Switzerland, for its annual summit. Unsurprisingly, one of the major topics of conversation revolved around “disinformation,” or in other words, anything that goes against the elites’ agenda.

It’s no secret that many of the most prominent and powerful global leaders are hostile toward free speech, but one individual who has been refreshingly pro-free speech is Elon Musk. His efforts toward protecting this right are evident in his purchasing and rewiring of X, which, under previous ownership, was notorious for censoring content deemed unfavorable.

However, Musk’s unapologetic support of free speech has caused him to be blacklisted among other elites. Ravi Agrawal, editor in chief of Foreign Policy magazine and a Davos attendant, even said so himself.

Dave Rubin plays a clip of Agrawal accidentally revealing why Elon Musk wasn’t invited to this year’s summit.

In a conversation about “real information” versus “disinformation,” the importance of “[differentiating] truth from fiction,” and the media’s role in that, Agrawal said, “Not all tech CEOs admit that they’re not good at every single thing. … At least one tech CEO hasn’t been invited here, who likes to think he’s very good at media as well.”

“They're talking about Elon Musk, obviously – the one guy who has opened up Twitter so more of us can share ideas, so we can debunk things in real time … [and] call out the bulls*** from our politicians and from people like them,” says Dave. “That's what they hate the most, so they didn't even invite him.”
