Mark Zuckerberg is eating insane amounts of McDonald's ahead of his fight with Elon Musk because he's 'not cutting weight'
August 04, 2023
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg revealed he's been eating mass amounts of McDonald's when he is training or having a cheat meal due to the number of calories that he burns.
Zuckerberg, who has a yet-to-be-scheduled fight with Twitter owner Elon Musk, has been spotted training with UFC champions such as Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya.
The Australian Volkanovski even told TMZ that viewers will be surprised at how good Zuckerberg is.
"I guarantee you, you guys would be very surprised," he said in an interview from his car.
Zuckerberg has even won a gold medal and a silver medal in jiu-jitsu tournaments in Silicon Valley in May 2023.
According to the Daily Mail, the 39-year-old tech mogul said on his Twitter-esque platform Threads that he needs about 4,000 calories per day to keep up with his training.
"20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large fries, Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and maybe some side cheeseburgers for later?" the social media guru said about his McDonald's order.
In response to a criticism that he shouldn't be eating this way during a fight camp, the Silicon Valley standout said that he is "not cutting weight," so he needs "~4000 calories a day to offset all the activity. And it's so delicious," he added.
His wife, Priscilla Chan, was pictured complaining about the couple's lawn in jest when asked if she had seen the UFC octagon in the backyard.
"Did you see the octagon I put in the backyard?" Zuckerberg asked.
"I have been working on that grass for two years," she later replied.
UFC legend Nate Diaz, who is preparing for a boxing match with former YouTuber Jake Paul, said in a recent interview that he doesn't think the two billionaires should fight.
"Isn't one way older than the other?" Diaz asked reporter Ariel Helwani.
"I don't think they should fight, I think they should be nice to each other," he continued. "They should do something with fighting, but they don't need to be fighting."
Zuckerberg and Musk do not yet have a date or location scheduled. UFC President Dana White said he thought that it could be the biggest fight of all time.
"The biggest fight of all time was Floyd and Conor, I just think it triples that — it triples what that did, there's no limit on what that thing can make," White claimed.
