In his own words (founder Max Berry):

If we had known how hard this would be, we probably never would've gotten started. So thank God for ignorance. We learned a lot from a lot of people. Sewing is very skilled work, and it's hard to find people who can do it. In fact, we've developed a sort of entry-level training program so people can learn on the job. If there's anything that should be made in America, it's an American flag.

I love all the people who work at Allegiance, and I'm proud we can pay them at the top of the scale. Everybody gets the vision, and everybody is living their own American dream. We have second-generation immigrants and 10th-generation immigrants.

We're not worried about expanding [into other products]. Our biggest problem right now is keeping up with the demand for flags. I think people are getting more patriotic. There's a growing demand for made-in-America products. We live in the greatest country in the world ... it's something that has a lot of emotion and passion around it.
